William Gallagher
(Western District and Archdiocese of Glasgow) Born in Glasgow, 3rd September 1842, the son of John Gallagher and Margaret Hanly; left for Scotland, 26th July 1870, and ordained a priest by Archbishop Eyre in St. Andrew’s, Glasgow, 13th August 1870; died at Alexandria, Dunbartonshire, 24th May 1904.

Report of the ordination of William Gallagher in the Scottish Catholic Directory of 1871.
The Rev. William Gallagher was born in Glasgow, 3d September 1842, and entered Blairs College, 21st July 1860. On the 2d September 1865 he was sent to the Scots College of Valladolid. On completing his studies there, he came back to Scotland on the 3d August 1870, and received from Archbishop Eyre all the orders up to the priesthood, which was conferred upon him by the same prelate on the 13th August of the same year. Soon after he was sent as junior priest to Partick.
